We are Ordnance Survey. Britain’s National Mapping agency. To most of our customers, we are the paper map that accompanies them on their rambles and hikes. We are the map that traditionally provides them with accuracy and detail. Great, right?
In a fast-paced world, we are and want to be so much more than that. We are bringing Britain’s landscapes to life through phenomenal 3D technologies, we are getting people outside through the use of their mobile devices and we are feeding consumers with more digital walking, cycling and running routes at their fingertips than ever before. So, what’s the challenge? As a young university graduate coming fresh into the marketing world, I am constantly challenged - pushing to both excite our traditional core customers enough to engage with our tech whilst still as reaching out to younger audiences to futureproof our brand. We’ve come a long way, but we’ve still got a fair few of our own ‘mountains’ to climb.
