Tink has extensive experience in introducing email marketing to thousands of companies, servicing major brands along the way such as the BBC, Shell, HP and DHL. Previously he worked as a developer on global CMS based intranets at IBM, giving him over 17 years’ experience in digital communications.
Tink has been an elected member of Direct Marketing Association’s Email Marketing Council since 2006 working on the Deliverability & Benchmarking hubs, bringing the likes of Hotmail as partner to the council. He later chaired the Partnership Hub, promoting the DMA’s email best practice guidelines and creating links with other industry bodies globally.
He has been a judge on the DMA awards email category since 2008 and later to become chair of the category. He also works on the Awards Committee ensuring the awards remain best in class across all forms of Direct Marketing.
He also serves Email Marketing Council at the Internet Advertising Bureau. Through his work the IAB endorsed the DMA’s Best Practice Guidelines. This marked a major step towards establishing consistent industry guidelines for email marketing standards.
